National Centre for Sensor Research (NCSR)
is at the cutting edge of exciting sensor
in Dublin City University, there are over
180 researchers working together on dozens
of different sensor projects.
researchers come from a variety of scientific
backgrounds. Sensor research needs input
from experts in physics, chemistry and biology,
as well as from engineers.
teams are working to develop new technologies
that could change the way we live! At the
moment, they are developing sensors to monitor
the environment, like the ones used by eco-sensor
web, sensors that will help people to look
after their illnesses, like diabetes, without
needing to go to the doctor all the time,
and sensors to keep an eye on the quality
of the food we eat.
