Hopping Home

Once the sensors have recorded this information, the mote has to send it to a main computer back at base. Motes have a special way of doing this. Instead of each mote sending its information directly to the main computer, motes are able to talk to each other. One mote will pass its data to its neighbour, who passes it to its neighbour, and so on until it reaches base. This is called hopping.
